Excuse me while I toot my horn a lil bit. I was just accepted to my first choice college which is Albany University (A.K.A The Nations #1 party college ). Any way, I decided to share the news. Im quite excited as you can probably imagine.

Well congratulations RB!! That's great! And, your first choice too. I don't know much about Albany University. While partying in college is great, I assume their curriculum is good as well. :p

Best of luck to you. You should be very proud. Btw, what are you majoring in?

Major in Pre-Law, and Minor in Political Science. And yes, while its known for its night life, Albany is a great school too. I only hope my parents will pay the tuision

Oh yes, college can cost an arm and a leg that's for sure. I assume you are living off campus??? It would be great if your parents could afford to help you out. If not, or if they can't afford to pay for it all, have you tried for scholarships. They have such a variety, and although some may not pay a large amount, it might be something to consider.

Also, although I'm sure not preferred method, is a student loan, in which you pay back after you have completed college and are working. However, as you can imagine, you'd be paying for a hell of a long time, but at least the pressure would be off during your studies.

PreLaw hu?? Good for you. If that's your desire, stick with it. It's a long haul, but I'm sure well worth it in the end and from what I understand, a very profitable career.

Drugs are illegal, and no drinking allowed until you're 21.

Of course, a law-abiding right winger doesn't have to worry about those things, I guess.

Seriously though, congratulations. SUNY is a great system, and I have many friends who attended SUNY schools, including a few who went to Albany.

Congrats, RB! But I think us here at Michigan State University got you beat though party wise according to Playboy magazine. Unfortunetly, it's about the only thing people know about this damn school. I don't party so I don't care, but lots of other people here seem to do! :p

SUNY's tuition isn't too bad for residents, is it?

No SC, the tuition for Suny schools is not bad at all. The same tuition for a school like Albany out of state would probably be close to triple the cost.

Bah, SUNY may be cheap compared to others, but $4000+ per semester, with prices rising every year, still can rape you up the ass unless you have a partial (or even better, full) scholarship.

I wish you much siccess in the near future, as well as the long run. Remember to balance the partying with studying once you're up there. It's really easy to get sidetracked as a freshman.
