I was only joking, I don't think it's really wrong for him to post a link to an Ebay item if he is selling it. It would be different if he posted it like a bajillion times, but this isn't his first post, so I don't see anything terribly wrong with it.

Although if he wanted people to seriously look, he might've made the thread more serious as well.

I understand your point, but if this is allowed, even if he is selling one item, before you know it all hell is gonna break loose and everyone who has something for sale will be posting to this board and it will become a flea market! I've seen it happen before on other boards that I used to frequent. It eventually gets out of control. Remember that this website does cost money to maintain, so I don't think it fair that a member should use it for free to try and make money and not pay tribute to the Don! However the final decision rests with our very own Don Malta, and whatever he decides will be final.

Well Don Cardi, as usual, we agree.

In this case though, it's an isolated incident...I don't recall what his other 6 previous posts involved, but I mean, I don't think it's terribly wrong for a member here to post 1 link to an item they are selling, as long as it doesn't become advertising space. The only issue is that he is not a well established member - if maybe TIS or DV did this, I don't think it would matter, but like you said, other boards fall prey to people who just sign up to advertise.

Again, this shouldn't be an issue for the masses, it's up to Geoff, and I don't even think it's that serious. I was still joking.
