Happy Turkey Day! Even if you don't like the pilgrims, it's okay. You can still enjoy turkey. :p

So yes...cranberry sauce, dressing, all that other good stuff...I wonder how my anti-carb buddy Partagas and I will handle all this good stuff.

Why thank you SM and may I send all my best wishes to everyone for a happy Thanksgiving. I spent the entire day baking yeterday, and here I am at 6:00 a.m or so, ready to start on the main course/appetizers. Damn! Can't wait to eat! :p

Probably will be slow on the BB today. I have so much to do, but need to wake up a bit first. :p

Have a great day everyone and eat until your full to the gills. That's what it's all about.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Some T-Day myths I'm hearing on Fox News right now. Talk about party-poopers! :

> "Pilgrims" actually called themselves "Saints"
> There's no evidence of Plymouth Rock, nor mention of it until at least 100 yrs later
> Half of the company died the first winter, the feast came later, after a good harvest
> They didn't call it "Thanksgiving"
> The Indians brought more food than the Pilgrims
> Pilgrims didn't dress in black, the way depicted

( More from various sources )

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

Probably because your harvest time is earlier than ours here in the States.

From my house to all of yours, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving. My wife and I were reminiscing about past Thanksgivings. Today will be a small group - brother, his wife, sister, one nephew, me, wife and daughter and later, future son-in-law. We've had big ones in the past - 16 people. We've been to other family gatherings too. As a kid, it was off to Grandma and Grandpa in Jersey City - lots of food and desserts. My cousins and I would find a million ways to amuse ourselves while the folks sat in the kitchen and drank beer and smoked.

We were going to go the parade today, but the weather forecast wasn't good, but it turned out beautiful - curse that weatherperson.

So, I went to church this morning and Thanked God.

Peace to all.

Freddie C.,

Well, at least you can call someone a turkey; talk turkey; or do the turkey trot. :p

Seriously, how can you not eat much today??? :p I've been baking/cooking for two days straight now. I'll be damned if I'm not gonna pig out. Freddy, just have the white meat, potatoes and a salad, but limit yourself if you're watching your weight. Enjoy your day!!

Yeah, it really stinks that I can't eat much. But that's just how wrestling is. Maybe I should play basketball instead. (I'm not that good)

My brothers will be rubbing it in. They'll be stuffing their faces and keep saying "mmmmmmmmm".

Well???? Did everyone pig out or just me?? :p Had a wonderful day. Soooo much food but it was great. Now I get to relax for a bit. In two days I'll be sick of turkey though!

What a great Thanksgiving it was for my family and I. I hope that everyone here had one just as good. TIS, I'm glad that you finally got to pig out after 2 long days of preparation. Freddie C, I think you are still entitled to 1 day of eating, as long as your metabolism is decent (which I think it is).

As for the rest of the members here, I hope that Thanksgiving was a safe and pleasant day. Enjoy the leftover turkey today if you have some to spare.

I wish I had an excuse to eat turkey and have a day off work yesterday. At least I don't need an excuse to drink though. I drank the house dry last night.

Well at least I was thankful for the Bears - Cowboys game. Except it was crap.

Hope everyone had a better Thanksgiving than I did. I flew to Colorado early in the moring. Upon landing, I found out the reason my mother paid for me to come back was so that we could visit my grandmother and her 93 year old boyfriend (who I despise). We loaded up in an old minivan, drove to the Glenwood canyon, which had been closed due to a huge rockslide taking out the road. The only other open pass over the Rockies was experiancing a winter storm and might be closed itself.By the time we got back to my parents house, there was not time to cook a turkey, so we had turkey deli meat and cheeseburgers for Thanksgiving. At least I'm going snbowboarding this weekend.

I had a fun Thanksgiving. I think it's an overrated holiday, but it's an excuse for days off and a party. We had about 50 relatives over. I can't express how loud it was.

I just found out that a lot of my cousins from out of town (NY, Boston, Texas, No.Cal, Italy, Switzerland, Argentina) are coming to L.A. for Christmas and New Year's, both of which will be at my house. It's over 100 people, counting the ones who are already here. As if my immediate family isn't loud enough as it is.

All I want for Christmas this year is a bottle of aspirin. No, it'll be a lot of fun. Seriously, some of these people I haven't seen since I was like 4. At least they aren't ALL staying at my house... most of them will stay at hotels, or my other cousins' houses.
