Going back to the days of Lucky and Carlo, how did the Sicilian born gangsters on average view Calabrese Italians?

They looked down and didn’t really trust non-Sicilians.

The feeling was mutual.

This dates back to mother land as Sicilians were often looked upon as non-Italians as if Sicilians were a different nationality completely.

There are many different regions in Italy, all with their own unique flavor and customs, but in America the three most dominant forces were always the Calabrese, Napolitani, and Siciliani.

Even within Sicilians, different clans looked down on each other and vice versa.

In Italy it's different there have been feuds between Calabrese, Napolitani, and Siciliani but that would be about business not because of their origin.
