Do the Chicago Outfit still skim from the Casinos or any crime family for that matter?
Nope. That went out with the Model-T Ford. Seriously though, since the major busts of the 1980s casino infiltration, hidden control, and money-skimming operations have ended. The Federal Government forced them out. Major national and multinational have since taken over ownership and control of all Las Vegas and Island nation casinos.
In the non Vegas gambling towns out west like Reno and smaller ones, locals who work in those places will usually insist at one or two joints, hidden way way back in the operation, is still a small amount of mob.
These are people who have been working those joints and running those towns for generations. Just relaying my experience out west.
The big corporations and billionaires moved in and took over. They don't call what they do skimming, they refer to it as tax write-offs, incentives, and other such terms. All done legally. Not necessarily ethical, but legal.
