John peels funeral was held yesterday and thousands of fans went to pay there respects.
People such as Fergal sharkey(The undertones, who played johns favourite song, teenage kicks) Jarvis cocker(Pulp, Jarvis said john gave him his musical education) the glastonbury boss micheal evais (changed the new bands tent at glastonbury to the john peel stage) delia smith was there, jack white (the white stripes)and aload of radio DJs where also there, and there was lots of messages from other people who new john such as eltons john who left the message "thankyou for all the great music. you were a hero for so many, much love elton"
also there was a playlist at the funeral:
