Saw a commercial for the new Simpsons episode last night. James Caan is guest satrring, and from the looks of it, they are spoofing the Sonny/Tollbooth scene.

The latest treehouse of horror episode was disappointing. So I'm hoping tomorrow nights epi. brings back some old magic.

I remember one where Moe was babysitting Maggie. He didn't know any bedtime stories, so he started telling her about the Godfather. I can't remember what exactly he said, but I do remember him mentioning Tessio.

If I recall, there is some kind of shootout with Joe Mantegna's character on the show as well (he plays the perennial mobster, who's name escapes me at this point.

ok well one classic line from around that scene:
"Alice in Wonderland?, this must be a spinoff of that Alice in Underpants book I have."

He also says Moe Green, he gets it right in the eye.

HOLY S*** I JUST SAW THE COMING ATTRACTIONS TO IT.

DSC is right, it looks awesome with reenacting the toll booth scene. I just think it might go over the heads of too many people.

"Tollbooths, I hate these things" LMFAO! That was by far the best Simpsons ever, just for that scene.
Youre right though, so many people arent going to get it.

Oh, that was awesome!

I have to disagree with those who say most people won't get the allusion. I think most people, even those who had never seen The Godfather will have heard of that scene. It's probably the second most famous next to the horse's head scene.

I highly doubt it will be replayed soon. Just check fox on 6:30 and 7:00 in the coming months.

OR check fox listings for Tuesday night or Wednesday night of this week, sometimes they will replay it.
