I was browsing one of my favourite websites the other day, an archive of misheard lyrics. It led me to wonder if anyone has any they'd like to share? Some of them on the site above are quite funny. Here are a few of mine :

ZZ Top - Gimme All Your Lovin

The Real Lyrics

You got to move it up
And use it like a screwball would
You got to pack it up
And work it like a new boy should

I thought it was

You got to move it up
And use it like a schoolboy would
You got to pep it up
Working like a millboy should

Roxette - It Must Have Been Love

The Real Lyrics

It must have been love but it's over now

I thought it was

It must have been rough, but it's over now

AC/DC - For Those About To Rock

The Real Lyrics

We’re just a battery for hire with a guitar fire
Ready and aimed at you
Pick up your balls and load up your cannon
For a twenty-one gun salute

I thought it was

We’re just a-bammering your hernia with a guitar fire
Ready and aimed at you
Pick up your balls and load up your toes
To form a twenty-one gun salute

Missy Elliot - Work It

The Real Lyrics

Is it worth it, let me work it
I put my thing down, flip it and reverse it
(I put my thing down, flip it and reverse it) <-backwards

I thought it was

Is it worth it, let me work it
I put my thing down, flip it and reverse it
It's worse if your knickers ain't wet

Nelly feat. Kelly Rowland - Dilemma

The Real Lyrics

No matter what I do....
All I think about is you
Even when I’m with my Boo
Boy, you know I’m crazy over you

I thought it was

No matter what I do....
All I think about is you
Even when you lick my boobs
Boy, you know I’m crazy over you

Would be interested to hear yours

I like this one by Kenny Rogers:

The real lyrics were:
You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille...

But I misheard them as:
You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel...

I never knew what Pete Townsend was saying in Baba O'Reilly.

"Don't cry, don't ??????? your eye..."

I just recently found out it was raise. I would just mumble that word if I was singing.

Thats funny Paul K. I was actually thinking of starting the exact same thread. Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams came on the radio just a few days ago, I was singing along to the opening line and my mother stopped me to ask what I said. I did sing it correctly but she thought it went:

"I got my first real sex dream".

And I knew someone who thought Bon Jovi's Living on a Prayer when sung was "Living on bread".

So die all who betray Giuliano

When I was a little girl, I thought that the Pledge of Allegiance was "...for Richard stands" and I always visualized a man named Richard standing in a field of wheat (probably got that from the amber waves of grain).
