They have their traditional rackets but they should start looking at other ways to make money because they are being pushed aside on their own turf by the more powerful families and as a result their traditional rackets are shrinking.
They need to start thinking outside the square. Here are some suggestions:
1. credit card fraud (Payment processor fraud can clear $10k a week)
2. bank fraud (ACH fraud can clear $10k a week)
3. Counterfeit goods (Perfect authenticated replica sports cards can go for up to $10K for example.)
4. Pink Panther style international jewellery store robberies.
5. luxury car theft ring (This racket is especially profitable)
6. Gun trafficking into Mexico (Send some guys out west, you can buy semi-automatics for $500 legally and legally sell for $1,500-$2000 in Mexico. The only illegal part is smuggling the guns across the border but that is what gringos are for.)
7. Exotic butterfly trade (They will need guys to go to Brazil and Papua New Guinea for this. There are these fucking huge butterflies that can sell for $10k on the blackmarket - dead.

You should stop by their social club one day and tell them about it. Stop by for a beer you reckon? This is what I'd tell them.... Small scale bookmaking, shylocking and selling weed and counterfeit Viagra ain't gonna fucking cut it. Need to start thinking big. You guys need to sort your shit out, get out of this fucking club and start fucking earning

exotic butterflies...I think I'll look into that. See if I can't make a buck or 10,000 The butterfly is called Queen Alexandra and goes for $10k on the blackmarket. There are a ton of other butterflies as well. I remember this meth trafficker that got busted in my country had a butterfly house with $1 million dollars worth of exotic butterflies (live) from all over the world. It turns out the guy was a butterfly enthusiast.

The Decavs would have to sit down with the crew that has the butterfly racket already.

Yeah, I could totally see some velor tracksuit wearing street thugs from New Jersey driving out to Texas and showing up at some gun shows to purchase large quantities of automatic weapons. That totally would not raise any red flags at all to the ATF or the FBI. And I’m sure Vinnie and Paulie can just go knocking on doors around Laredo and El Paso looking for cartel members to sell those guns to. Sounds like a bad sitcom.

The 5 families are just mocking the decavalcante,I can't image how they will laugh when will heard that decavs steal butterfly. Globally the illegal butterfly trade is worth $200 million dollars per year. I don't believe there is any effort by OC groups to corner the market, that is where the DeCavs can explore the potential.

There are some real relaxed gun laws in certain US states and nobody asks too many questions. Guns in Mexico can be sold legally and most of the buyers aren't cartel members, most of the buyers are average Mexicans and you don't have to go knocking on doors to sell the guns. btw Laredo and El Paso are in Texas, not Mexico.

Yes well, the DeCavs will have to learn how to deal with jungle dwelling tribes if they want a piece of the butterfly trade.

Obviously they’re in Texas. You know the cartels are here in the US right? Quite a few of them have their families here in the States for security reasons.

Seriously speaking some mafia families in Sicily because of the arrests and to pay the lawyers to members in prison started to took to grow marijuana for millions of euroin rural greenhouses; its were practically easy money and did not risk severe sentences, once in one of these greenhouses was found marijuana worth on the road of one million euros; another example is the cavallo di ritorno aka steal a luxury car an get paied for have it back. Yeah marijuana doesn't attract severe prison sentences and can be very profitable. luxury car theft rings can be even bigger money.
