I just watched segments of the Italian version of the Godfather, and for some reason Barzini is called Emilio Barrese in it. I wonder why that is, does anyone have the answer?

Fictional history. Barzini was born Barrese as Vito was born Andolini.

Was it in the book? I can't remember, but was wondering about the surname change too, what on earth could have been the reason. Thanks for the information. But still, even if he was born Barrese, still if he mostly went by Barzini in the original, why didn't the translators let it be, they didn't change Vito Corleone to Andolini as his American name after all, otherwise there would be Sonny, Fredo and Michael Andolini too.

Willie Marfeo to Henry Tameleo:

1) "You people want a loaf of bread and you throw the crumbs back. Well, fuck you. I ain't closing down."

2) "Get out of here, old man. Go tell Raymond to go shit in his hat. We're not giving you anything."
