The purpose of this thread is nob two birds with one jonny (translated - Sex two girls with one condom, derived from - Kill two birds with one stone).

So. Sometime yesterday I tried an unsuccessful search for an old post of mine which you may or may not remember entitled "Nearly time to grow up." I professed to owning no vocational qualification over the age of 16, and how I was to start a Uni course as a mature student. I was just basically going to gratuitously praise myself for actually completing my first acedemic year. And also that it's been a very successful year.

Like I said that failed (damn JG deleting old threads) and is done here. Now, what many of the regular old timers might have been attracted to this post would simply have been the word "Rumination" and it's association with my good mate and our own resident asshole, Utzopoke. During my search for my post I ended up perusing A LOT of Pokes old rumination threads and I was entertained for quite a while.

So this brings me to the bastard himself. Now, I know originally why his access to this board has been zip due to complications at work. But I do remember him once stating that nothing other than death would keep him from posting here. I havn't seen his presence for months, before xmas sometime.

They say the good die young so he definately isn't dead. He is more likely in prison or "blowing a cop" in Rio De Janeiro like a mighty vacuum cleaner. I get the feeling one day I'll meet him too, just like I'll probably meet the rest of the regular BBers. If it wasn't for money and my second year of Uni, I'd be in Chicago for the convention later this year.

Ok so Poke you daft bastard. I'm sure I speak for most people when I say his wit, insensitiveness and malevolent nature has been sorely missed....and when I do meet him, I'll give him a cut across short range elbow to the chin.

I think it's just that Poke's married, so he's whipped now. Plus he's too cheap to buy a home computer.

Where have all the old posters gone? Along with Poke, other MIA's are:

Minnow
*Injectilo
McKluskey's Veal
sveta van gaal
frown

He's been in the service for years. His last Tour of Duty ended and he just got transferred.

I'm pretty sure Mob is still around. I think he's just being the little voyeur that he is and is keeping tabs on all of us "youngins". He's probably going into meltdown mode with the chatbox being dismantled.

I think one of the above mentioned MIA's, Minnow, still keeps in contact with La Dolce Vita. Maybe she can use her womanly ways to persuade him to come back. He was pretty cool.

Above a excepts from Turi's "Ramblings". That opening statement caught my curiousity. A rather logistical/technical challenge. And then you changed topics, thus the ruminations or I think more like ramblings.

Congrats on your Uni thing going well. I suspect someday we will see you....on TV, or a WANTED poster.

Hmm, sometimes they just pop up again.

I've been away for quitte a while and i'm back too. But .... maybe i will be gone again in a few weeks. Business is a little low at this moment so i have a little spare time to visite the forum.

Contrary to popular belief, Unix is userfriendly. It just happens to be selective about who it makes friends with.
