Happy New Years fellas,

I have a question. A few years ago i watched a documentary where vito genovese godson was featured. He talked about a time where he was receiving some trouble from some guy and he told vito. Vito found the guy and busted him in the knee caps with a baseball cap and made the guy tip his hat whenever he seen his godson anywhere. Have u guys seen this doc. And if so do u know the name of it and where to find it? I think salvortre maranzano's nephew was featured as well

It's an "American Justice" episode called "Crime Family". It comes on Direct tv occasionally. I have it recorded and saved on my dvr. I think I've seen it on youtube before as well. It's a different doc than the "Portrait of a crime Family" doc that I know for sure is on youtube

Similar title but different documentary..I have the video he's talking about on an old vhs tape...I played it yesterday to get the name...

Frustrating how youtube doesn't have or removed some really good docs !!

This is verbatim from the American Justice 'Crime Family'

Bill Kurtis narrates: "Vito's godson Ralph Caglioti recalls one incident where as a young man he got into trouble with some loan sharks who beat him up and burned his hand. When his godfather Vito found out that anyone had the nerve to harm his godson. Vito found the loan sharks and in front of his godson he broke their knees with a baseball bat."

Ralph Caglioti: "Pow...he hit, you could hear their knee popping...Pow he hit the other guy. He says 'You ever see my godchild again, I want you to take off your hat and genuflect in front of him. Got in the car, and went away'."

And you're right AntSamuel it does have Salvatore Maranzano's nephew Jerry Maranzano in it.
