Long time Pittsburgh numbers kingpin Adolph "Junior" Williams passed away at the age of 82. Junior took over the numbers from Tony Grosso and controlled the racket for over two decades.

He started out operating a good size numbers book in the east end of the city under Grosso, and when Grosso went to jail he and his 2 brothers (Sal and Eugene)took over completely with the blessing of Michael Genovese, the Pittsburgh Boss at the time.

Although gambling was the main source of income for the brothers,Eugene was also known to dabble in other areas, such as heroin distribution.

Junior was also suspected of ordering (among others)the killing of Robert Mancini,a half connected rival numbers operator from Mckees Rocks.

Junior's daughter Carla,is married to Vince Isoldi,a local strip club operator and subject of the short lived reality show "Godfather of Pittsburgh".
