Here is an article from 1995, it focuses on mob involvement in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Centre in NY. At the time the Genovese family had a strong influence. I would appreciate some history on what happened over the last 20 years with this, the characters involved etc. I can't find much on the situation, I'm guessing like a lot of things the mobs been chased out of here?

Yeah it was mainly the Bellomo crew that ran the place, through their control of the Carpenters Union, though guys from other families were there. Raab covers it in his Five Families book and if you do Google searches like "Javits Center+crime family" you can get more details. If the last 20 years is any sign, mob influence has been removed from the place.
