Don't remember if I asked this before: in your opinion, if mayor Anton Cermak and Ted Newberry succeeded in their attempt to have Frank Nitti killed by the police, what would have happened? Would it have been a heavy damage for the Outfit or would Ricca have managed to put everything back together quickly? I mean, did Cermak and his Irish gangsters (Touhy, Newberry etc) have a chance to destroy the Outfit if the attempt hadn't failed and Cermak wasn't killed by Zangara or was the attempt to destroy the Outfit doomed from the start?
By the way, what's the current version of the Cermak murder: was Zangara a lone gunman/fanatic or was he engaged by the Outfit as retaliation for the attempt on Nitti's life?

2) "Get out of here, old man. Go tell Raymond to go shit in his hat. We're not giving you anything."

It wasnt just about Nitti,it was the Outfits rackets that were in real danger.According to some mob historians and journalists, during his execution Zangara yelled Viva Italia, viva Camorra. You see some journalists from those days didnt know what the camorra word meant so they only took notice of viva italia
