Being new to this site I am sure I may have missed this but if there is a photo or entry you could point me to I would appreciate it.
In GFII when Michael is in front of the senate committe they produce a chart showing the Corleone Crime Family Organizational Tree. It's only seen for a few seconds in one scene. I was interested in what it really looked like and said as far as the order of power.
Thanks for the help.

It can be seen in Harlan Lebo's book, "The Godfather Legacy" (I believe is the title) but the actual diagram itself isn't really that special. Most of the names were created just for the poster, in fact, Carmine Coppola is the picture of one of the criminals on the tree.

Ask Turnbull for more info, I don't have the image myself, but he might know where to get it. Also, the Godfather Trilogy homepage has a family/crime tree I believe.

I Know the Corleone Family has a Helluvalot more soldiers than 30. Or there must button men who remain more secretive in the shadows while some are well known.

I can't see Sonny's position, but I guess he was an underboss under Vito, unlike the Novel.

Sonny is listed on the upper right, just under Vito, under the heading "BOSS" (Deceased). Sonny was the Don, or at least the acting Don, from the time Vito was shot to the time he himself got it on the causeway.

Fredo's title of "Underboss" is purely honorary, of course. It means he doesn't answer to anybody besides Michael, but he also doesn't have any real authority of his own either.

I know all that. I know Sonny was an acting boss. But he had to have been an underboss under Vito. I find it hard to believe that Fredo is an underboss.

I guess the title of "Acting Boss" was listed for Sonny because that was his position at the time of his death.

Its always fun to point out that the only two characters on that chart without a picture next to their name are Vito and Clemenza....the two who couldn't come to terms with Coppola about appearing in Part II. Was this (omission of pictures) FFC's little revenge?

I think the title "Underboss" simply means you answer only to The Don. While Vito was under no illusions with Fredo in terms of his "abiliity", I don't think Vito wanted button men telling him what to do.

Hey SC,

Thanks for posting that pic. But what is the underlined word above Clemenza's name?

"Former". Clemenza and Tessio are listed there.

Did Micheal marry Kay because he loved her or because he wanted hiers. Some friends of mine got into a debate over this over the weekend I'd love to hear some opinions on this from the boardmembers.
