I like beer, but get sick of them after a while. I like harder liquor more, Captain Morgan, Bombay, Fireball. Pretty much anything except tequila.

I just stick to alcohol. If I smoked weed nowadays I think I'd be high for a whole week since it's so much more potent than it was years ago.

The only beer darts I played was shooting darts while drinking a beer. Your game sounds too complicated and will turn my nice cold beer too warm. I'll stick with quarters.

A notorious heroin cartel forced a Bronx drug kingpin to send two relatives to Mexico as collateral in their multimillion-dollar dope deals, the Daily News has learned.

Jose (Hippie) Mercedes, busted Sunday in a record seizure of heroin with a street value of more than $50 million, surrendered the “very close family members” to the Sinaloa cartel, according to a source.

It’s not the first time a local drug dealer was forced to provide human collateral to the ruthless Mexican drug providers, the source said Wednesday.

“We’ve seen this before in cases involving narcotics supply organizations affiliated with the Sinaloa cartel,” the source said.

The multimillion-dollar, five-state heroin ring allegedly run by Mercedes from a Bronx apartment, imported its supply by land from Culiacán, Mexico, authorities said.

Mercedes’ relatives were not held hostage, but were kept under the cartel’s close watch — and under threat of retribution if anything went wrong.

The massive drug takedown, the largest by the Drug Enforcement Administration in New York State history that also netted $2 million in cash, reinforced recent claims by law enforcement that heroin demand was exploding in the five boroughs.

“Right now, we estimate that 20% of the drug seizures in the country for heroin are here in New York,” Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said.

Mercedes, 46, and associate Yenci Cruz Francisco, 19, were busted after surveillance and wiretaps led investigators to believe the pair were about to make a major heroin pickup.

Court papers alleged the deal was done in a New Jersey warehouse parking lot last Saturday, with a task force arresting both suspects one day later near the W. 251st St. apartment in Fieldston, the Bronx, officials said.

The year-long probe included the NYPD, the city special narcotics prosecutor, state police, DEA, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations.

The drugs were recovered from hidden compartments beneath the floor of Francisco’s 2006 Chevrolet Suburban — as was $24,000 cash, authorities charged.

The $2 million was hidden beneath the floorboards of the fifth-floor apartment near the prestigious Horace Mann School and busy Van Cortlandt Park.

“We’re swimming upstream against the tide right now,” Bratton said. “Fifty-odd percent of the overdose deaths in the city right now are due to heroin.”

yes, I agree pot is much safer than alcohol, I haven't had a drink of alcohol in 34 years, I can't handle it.

but. up until about 7 years ago I smoked a lot of pot, never had any problems. some dudes cannot handle alcohol and I am one of them. don't regret not drinking at all.

quit smoking cigarettes in 1976 and, that's probably why im in good shape at 72. cigarettes will give you cancer, pot wont.
