On a side note, does anyone know what Lucchese guys were in the bypass gang? Made members? I read Gaspipe and I dont recall names of the guys in the gang, Im sure its out there somewhere but I was unable to find it. Im sure some of our knowledgeable posters can enlighten me..thanks fellas The documentary mentions Vincent and George Zappola.

Cay so....... How funnie.
Really good documentery, just thought it hysterical how the narator pronounced Casso. I think that is how you pronounce it.
I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

Cah-so is more like it Moe, at least in Italian.
-I shot him a coupla' times. -What's a couple? -Hmm, more than a couple... Really I don't know the exact amount, maybe I shot him 10 times, 12 times? -Maybe fifteen? -Hmm, it could've been fifteen...

Yea I caught that too, but wasn't George a capo at the time? So he was involved in the break ins or was just the skipper overseeing that racket ya think? Anyone know of others besides the two Zappolas? I believe Vic Amuso was involved, in one of the books it mentions they found tapes in Otto Heidels place of him recording Amuso while they were at a robbery pulling security in a van. Vic was complaining about how fucking cold it was, and where they could get some chicken noodle soup. Anthony Zappola is an interesting case, wasn't he an ex cop? Joe Brewster from Greg Scarpa crew was in the gang too.

I remember watching this when it came out. Very good doc on the bypass gang. So crazy how well they executed every job they did. Truly professional thieves.
