They were so feared, Al & Crea did think about making a move against them
but decided not to for obvious reasons

My question is, were they so feared as individuals that nobody had the balls to put two behind the ear. I find that hard to believe (think Galante) as mean as he was, a few bullets will take care of that. Or was it the retribution it'd bring after their deaths that prevented anyone daring to make a move against gas & Vic?

So who were their loyalists/ power base ?

I would think killing a boss and acting boss would be a bad idea. although it has been done and if anybody deserved it would be casso. BK

Is it true that when Vic and Gas went on the run, they only would have done a few years if convicted?.....Meaning, they had nothing to fear except the windows extortion? No evidence of murders at that moment in time?

The pople loyal to them were from Brooklyn then you had guys like Bowatt who was trying to see what he could get outta the deal, id assume he was hoping to become the guy n charge of the Harlem/Bronx, then on top of that they had guys from all over the family who were loyal to the life and did things they hated and for people they despised because they were the boss and that's the way of the life

Well as crazy as he was, he had Chin's backing for the time being... I don't think he would be removed or whacked without the Westside backing it.

-I shot him a coupla' times.
-What's a couple?
-Hmm, more than a couple... Really I don't know the exact amount, maybe I shot him 10 times, 12 times?
-Maybe fifteen?
-Hmm, it could've been fifteen...

Its funny how these 2 were in the plot with chin to take out gotti yet they did all the work. Other then manna plotting on a wiretap to killing him the westside didn't do anything. Yet after all the luchese turncoats. gottis in jail was hearing about the luchese bk guys killing made gambino guys blowing shit up. If its chins guy who puts the bomb under decicos car;whys the luchese even around.think casso was trying to spread the blame after he turned rat. The cops were luchese property to

I don't know about that family, only the things I hear in the news and here.

But it was an ugly time to be in that family.

Daidone, Argentina & Zappola were some of Amuso & Casso's most trusted lieutenants.
