This movie looks great! And pardon me if I am mistaken but I think the novel is a movie tie-in to a prewritten screenplay.

That scene where Bob finally kills the guy who's been stalking throughout the whole film, is great. The shock he gets, the fear that comes over the guy when he finds out he's been fucking with the wrong one, was priceless.

Watching now, and will watch again with a group tomorrow.

I am renting it from amazon tonight

Just saw the drop. Started slow but got a lot better in the last 15 minutes.

But the very end?

Watched 1 h of the movie,not that interesting.Its real slow.i mean like turtle slow.

Last 15 minutes isnt bad but overall the movie is dull.Wouldnt watch it it again.



Have you watched the movie buddy?That bartender guys palys an idiot trough the whole movie and than wakes up in the last 15 minutes,his girlfriend is nothing to look at all,Gandolfini is nothing special.Very depressing movie,with a story thats not good.Thats what i think.Tell me i want to know what did you find so awsome??

Well he did make a big mistake by not shooting her as well.

I thought it was amazing that they found the financing to make it.

See the movie where Gandolfini ran the amusement park. Can't believe they found the financing for that either.

The drop was really good.

That guy behind the bar was fuckin great, I knew he was the Man as soon as Marve told the crazy dude to stay the fuc away from him.

Gandolfinidi did a great job because i hated his charactor and thats what we were supposed to do.

What I want to know is Gandolfini's role a major one in this film? Or is he just a secondary player that isn't in the movie that much? That will be a major decision on whether I get it or not.

He is in it and shares the main character role with his cousin who is the bartender.

Just finished watching The Drop, thought it was excellent.

I do have a few questions though(spoilers) ahead.

Did Marv know that it was Bob who killed Richie ? I assume they both knew because when Bob's telling Eric Deeds the story, he says "we". Then again when Bob is wrapping the hand Marv looks shocked how calm Bob is.

Seems if Marv did know what Bob was capable of that it was abit of a plot hole, because surely he would have sussed that Bob would have schooled Eric Deeds.

I guess Marv did say something like, "i know what he looks like, but trust me don't fuck with him".
