As for whether he is boss, if he still is, then our FBI/Police are really off their game because that money kicked up to him just doesn't magically appear without any kind of paper trail, delivery/courier service, etc. Not in this day and age; especially if they are watching him like a hawk. Had a bartenders head flushed down a toilet caused he touched joeys money at the bar to early... What the hell are you talking about?

It's like when Pizzaboy called you out on Frankie Cali's age, and you refused to change it or admit wrong doing. It was actually Cefalu's age, BlackJack2121. No biggie, but just to clarify. Just curious, where are you all from? I'm on Long Island. I'm in the Bronx for 55 years. Originally Belmont, now Throggs Neck. Today we also live in Florida part time .

@Blackjack Alabama? Across the pond? Nice. Wrong, but nice. Didn't realise you had local sources on the ground in Philly And speaking of 'underworld sources' well, EVL 'had his' when he called Borgesi sitting in the big chair, so you'll excuse me if I need a little more. Oh, and Domwoods, one of this boards most knowledgeable posters lives in England. Sorry for ruining your point. But, as said, I've stated my piece.

Yankees 1951 like I said I was just stating what's known anyway,I do not idolize him but like most posters agreed its just the way it is.Nobody is glorifying anything,if your on a baseball blog you talk about baseball, this is a mafia blog and this is what these guys do.I mean come on in this life you got brothers going after brothers, families split, violence, this is what these guys do.Joey is no different than any of the other guys.Again this is their life when they want somebody whacked they don't say ''hey can you do me a favor and hit this guy'' they say ''hit him or we will hit you''.I know you know that, its just the way it is. I know what it is back in the late80's I was indicted for Bookmaking Extortion and Attempted Murder luckily I was only charged for running a book...Yeah the only thing I wanna be hitting is some twenty-five year old blonde that's fresh

Can you please point out to me where I EVER said I HAD SOURCES on the ground in philly? Yeah, you missed the point there. It was in response to your stupid post about where I'm from. As if location matters. The only time it does is if you're not only IN Philly but connected. Because otherwise no one knows anymore than anyone else on these boards. Hence the comment about you having sources. I think it's also interesting how you accept one unidentified 'source' over another. When it suits your argument that is.

Joseph Isgro -- know him? He was arrested in LA last week, no bail, no charges, for New York allegations. You won't find that reported anywhere. How do I know? I'm in New York yet I know about it. How? Your goddamn right I have street sources in Philly, New York, Chicago and Florida.I stand by my story and anyone who wants to debate this let me know. I got someone's age wrong? Okay I got an age wrong, I apologize and will fix it. I don't apologize for what my sources tell you. And if you use Crowns, you're a Brit. You know who I'm talking about. I don't pick fights but when someone goes for my credibility, I go for the throat.

I wonder that too. The Crown. A bunch of Brits think they can sit on their island and tell me in New York what's what. You guys are out of the loop. You read one book and you understand a guy like Paulie Gulino. What about Paulie?

But when I post about New York, and more specifically the Bronx, I only post what I believe to be true, and I post it with confidence. And when I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I think we only expect the same from you. That's all. I don't read your blog. Maybe I'll give it a try now that I have an excuse. And I have no ax to grind with you. But if you're going to be in a creative field, you really have to be open to criticism. That's my two cents.

Ted - The poster "marine" may come off a little nutty, but what he's saying is believable if you were in Joey Merlino's orbit back when he was partying it up in the 90s on Delaware avenue and in Margate. It was hard not to see him out because he was constantly at all the hot spots and he was treated like a celebrity. Point is, there are a bunch of incidents like this. Using money that wasn't his, taking jewelery off of people, having his goombah's rough people up for no good reason. Some people on this board likely witnessed his antics first-hand. I seriously doubt Merlino had someone's head cut off and flushed down a toilet (if for no other reason than that a human head won't fit down a toilet). It's probably just rumors made up on the street by Merlino's people or fanboys. Then again, I don't the details of Merlino's past, so if you have any proof I will admit being wrong.

You can easily look that up in court dockets that are updated daily on certain sites that won't show up in a google search. You ever watch the movie shattered glass maybe you should!

Ted I don't think he meant it literally.... they probably gave him a "swirly" they probably pulled his head up n down up n down playing gangster...after watching some gangster movies they got the Idea. I don't think they could afford a lion like sonny black to intimidate people

You can't get mad at people for calling you out on something that was obviously wrong, because he had to revise the entire story. So I am not sure how he is so heartily defending his sources...when his sources fed him pure shit and he ate it with a happy grin and wrote an article around the false information.
