I am buying a new book in Italian about the mafia in this province
Come nasce una mafia. Nelle viscere della provincia "babba" by Angelo Migliore
(I think it's the first one about the subject). Could somebody tell me what exactly is the position of the mafia of this province in the Sicilian criminal alliances? Who represents (or represented) them in the commission? For example, the Messina province doesn't have a seat on the commission and reports to Catania. I read the mafia in the provinces of Ragusa, Messina and Syracuse is generally considered weak, they are called "province babbe" in Italian, but it was later discovered that at least Messina has gained considerable power through alliances with important freemasons and corrupt judges by characters like Santo Sfameni, Giovanni Sindoni, Rosario Cattafi, Michelangelo Alfano etc. What about Syracuse, is it real mafia or more like the Stidda?
Willie Marfeo to Henry Tameleo:
1) "You people want a loaf of bread and you throw the crumbs back. Well, fuck you. I ain't closing down."
2) "Get out of here, old man. Go tell Raymond to go shit in his hat. We're not giving you anything."
