You have to be pretty desperate to agree to $150 worth of debt BEFORE you even make a charge of your own. But these fly-by-night banks are able to get away with it by being based in states that aren't strictly regulated.

People do it to get a credit history again. Use it make payments your credit score goes up

You know how shys handled people who could not pay or did not get in touch with them when they could not pay.

Someone would go to their house. They went when the guy was not at home. So they would talk to his wife. They would tell her their husband took a loan and was late. While they talking their looking over their house.

Then they would take something that they owned. Like a pair of lamps and told them tell their husband.

Then no one gets in touch with them they go back. This time with a moving van. Nothing they take their furniture out of the house.

Still no one they go back hand make her give them a blow job. Then tell her he does not come up with the money. They will put her out on the street to work for them until they are paid off.

I have seen the local shy hit an old women because she did not have a 5 dollar payment.

The danger in that is that most of our habits...eating,spending,lifestyle are pretty much copied from the people who raise us.

It's a vicious cycle, like the revolving door to prison passed on from fathers to sons. But neither am I excusing it a hundred percent, either. It's up to the individual to break the chain. We can only blame what we were born into to a degree.

I've skimmed articles about how some Native American/indigenous groups here are able to loan money and charge rates that are basically shylock rates.


Not complaining and more power to them...but legally how are the able to do this?




As Americans we have VERY little taught to us in public school system about financial literacy. The danger in that is that most of our habits...eating,spending,lifestyle are pretty much copied from the people who raise us. Poorer people are going to feel the consequences of bad money habits sooner than others the bad money habits eventually catch up to everybody.
