There was a rumor going around that Skins had Devita on tape. Any more information on this? I am in no way trying to spread any false rumors, this was mentioned on a thread here a couple of weeks ago.

Respectfully disagree, I'm talking about the possibility of an ongoing pending investigation. From what I gather Nicky Skins had a lot of Bloomfield connections where Devita has a lot of ongoing activity.

Why would it be an ongoing investigation if he was caught on tape? They'd have arrested him as soon as they had a chance like they did with everyone else. It's been like 3 years since the Feds started indicting people involved with the tapes, it's done with IMO.

Yes, perhaps if it was a flat-out, knock-out smoking gun recording. But it is not unheard of, and in fact makes sense, to use the records as just a small part in an overall RICO case. They could be saving them until another part of the investigation turns up something and tie the tapes into a RICO proceeding to prove a predicate act.

Certainly the guys in philly were not indicted right away, but the tapes were used as small piece of evidence in the proceeding (uncle joe as introduced as acting boss taped by skins). And what nicky skins had was not apparently convincing for the jury, especially without his personal testimony.

Seeing as who he represented , which was the gambino Canarsie crew aka the Nicky corrozo crew, and because of the fact Nicky was around forever and did many stretches behind bars and never ratted , even when gaspipe was after him, he had to get everyone that was anyone in jersey
