No way #4 is Infelice or Ferriola. In thouse days Infelice looked like Al Capone and Ferriola was a whole different face.I also vote that #4 is Joe Gags. Joseph Ferriola Rocco Infelice First i stated that Pranno is not in the picture but do you guys think #6 might be this guy? Look at the earlobe, nose and hair style Rocco Pranno

Was watching a documentary on Sam DeStefano this morning when a very familiar face popped up: I now believe that Crimaldi is #6. If Sam was present, it sure makes sense. FWIW, Crimaldi later flipped on Sam. nice. convincing!

#6 is definitly not Pranno He had the build and the hair, but not the nose or chin, and frankly, he was kind of scary looking. I figure Fosco's photo is between 56 (56 Belair) and 59 (there is a lot of Foxhead beer on the table. Foxhead reorganized in '58 and early in '59 effectively fired J.B and Cerone as bogus salesman.) I figure #6 is thirty something to maybe a well preserved fortyish. #6's most notable feature is that he is handsome. He looks like the illegitimate love child of Paul Newman and Robert Goulet. This is pretty rare in the outfit. I have been looking at any mobsters from the era that could fit the bill. Caifano was a pipsqueek. Joe Siciliano was in jail Pretty boy Lombardi, Crimaldi, and Franky Schweihs (believe it or not, he looked like John Garfield when he was young) were all in their early 20's. The only other guy I have been able to find that looks right, is a crooked personal injury lawyer named Fred Ackerman. He would be disbarred and go on to turn states evidence against Mirro, Rocky Infelice, Americo DePieto, and Frank Santucci in one case and Destefano in another. But the best I can tell, his involvement with the mob started with a juice loan in '58 and everything else was him trying to work it off. I can't imagine he was connected enough with these guys to drink their beer in the time frame of the photo

#6 Does not look like Crimalidi to me. Really? As soon as his pic splashed on the documentary, I did a double-take. Take a closer look and compare: the cleft chin, the nose, the small mouth, and the little widow's peak. The Crimaldi pic used for comparison is from the 60s, probably 5-8 years after the ANP photo. Anybody know how tall Ricca was? Fosco mentioned to me that Mad Sam being in the pic would only make sense if he was there (meaning Cerone would actually be Ricca).

Just reviewed this entire thread, and I'm going to base my final guess on something Joe E Brown contributed: Just seeing this photo for the first time. Not sure if this has been determined here but number 5 is Nicky Palermo and the event is probably the plumber's picnic that he hosted back in those days. I believe one of his daughters married an Accardo. He was also father-in-law to Frankie DeLegge Sr. Palermo ran a burglery crew out of Melrose Park. A very reliable source told me that at one point JB was talked out of whacking Palermo. Don't know what Nicky did to piss Tony off. I think that the context of the photo is very important, and that it's more likely that not that not just high-ranking guys were present. Thus the argument that so-and-so wouldn't dream of being in the presence of so-and-so means a little less to me. My final guess, dammit: 1. Amato 2. Accardo 3. Potenza 4. Glimco (doubtful, but a recent hunch) 5. Palermo 6. Centracchio 7. Gianola 8. Adduci 9. Ricca (based on something Fosco mentioned to me, and that I believe #10 is...) 10. Mad Sam Now tear me apart!

If number 10 isn't Sam than it's definitely not Blasi.
don't get your logic. There is quite a resemblance between the photos of blasi in the late 70s and the guy in the picture. blasi was accardos driver, so it makes perfectly sense. And romie nappi was the relative fosco was speakin of. i would add simonelli adduci and cerone to the confirmed list as well.

He already said Simonelli was not in the photo, although he agreed with the resemblance that number four shared with him. I don't see Adduci being one of the guys, either. I like the bald guy to be Cerone but the vibe I got from Fosco was that he wasn't a "definite". As for Blasi, sorry, I don't share your assessment on his resemblance to number 10. Blasi didn't have that much white in his hair in the fifties, plus the ears are different: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xlN1rSsiN4I/Ux4tPAzw3RI/AAAAAAACbog/E9T9VTOEIWw/s1600/butch+blasi.jpg hm seems you're right on blasi.. its a hard one.

Toodoped may have inadvertently finally provided a plausible name for #10: Roland Libonati. Here he is with Cigar by Capone: And again probably after the photo contest pic was taken: [img:center] http://mediasvc.ancestry.com/image/38397...amp;MaxSide=160[/img] From Toodoped: In prison, Ricca had the image of a bald old man, who everyone in the prison, including the guards and warden, was afraid of. He was constantly visited by all kinds of people, who usually asked for favours, or showed respect or even handled messages for the old “Don.” When the visitors left, they never turned their backs at the old boss, but instead first they took few steps back before turning and walking away. One of the most notable visitors was Democratic State Senator from the West Side and long time mob associate, Roland Libonati. This guy used to take pictures with the late Al Capone during baseball matches and labelled people such as Ricca, “charitable” and “patriotic” fellows. When Libonati visited Ricca in his prison cell on August 24, 1960, the scene was like taken out of the Godfather movie. According to a federal informant, there was a display of affection with hugging and kissing, like two “made guys” should salute each other. I’m not saying that Libonati was a member of the mob but he surely knew how to act like one. I see a cleft chin and hair that is very similar. Thoughts? Not that Fosco's ever going to tell us...

I'm pretty sure that's him, and again I'm left wondering: is #9 Ricca, Cerone, or otherwise? Pic was probably from '56-58 or '59, so Ricca would've been available for such a gathering. I'm not sure he would have attended, though. Also,...
I see more brown with grey in the little hair that #9 has, which leads me to guess Cerone. But I have no idea, and can only surmise.
I submitted to Fosco last night:
1. Amato 2. Accardo 3. Pranno 4. ??? 5. Palermo 6. Crimaldi 7. Gianola 8. Adduci 9. Cerone 10. Libonati
I think that's gotta be 6 of them, and MAYBE 7. Still totally unsure about all but 1-3, 5, 8, and 10. I really hope Fosco puts us out of our misery some day and announces the names, because I don't know if I can take much more of trying to figure it out (and I can't stop myself from trying).

Sorry for the tardy response. I do believe that's actually Pranno, as if I remember correctly it was established that some publications had inadvertently used pictures of Potenza as Pranno. Also, Fosco asserted as much. I doubt his sources are mistaken.
I had to step away from this whole mess of a mystery for a while, and just took a peak at the last page again tonight. It occurs to me now that if Libonati is #10, then that's probably Ricca and not Cerone. How that didn't occur to me before is yet another mystery.
Moreover, I'm now pretty well convinced that #10 is Libonati.
The worst part is knowing that you'll never know if you actually knew what you thought you knew...
EDIT: Per Potenza/Pranno, maybe it was the other way around, lol; I just took a look around, and it appears that it was.

1. Amato 2. Accardo 3. Pranno 4. ??? (not Gags) 5. Palermo 6. Guy Cervone (Toodoped's new West Side chart has a pic; really looks like him) 7. ??? (Nuccio?) 8. ??? (think this may actually be Nuccio) 9. Cerone (Fosco implied it wasn't Ricca) 10. Di Varco!!!!*** ***Came across a contemporary pic of Di Varco a while back, and instantly noticed the resemblance. Ear lobes and chin are spot on, and it makes sense, as I can recall Fosco asking someone on ANP which guy they thought was Di Varco. I believe the guess was #7. Here's Di Varco at what looks like a country club: ![[Linked Image]](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/64/2c/23/642c23f8d415efe00c440d14c1ab5a86.jpg)
