It's that time of year again, but alas, I will not be watching the Oscars live this year so won't be posting a play-by-play. In fact, I planned on switching to the Primetime Emmy's for that after last year, as I'm more familiar with TV than current films...

It should be a good show, though -- I love Ellen cool

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

I haven't seen one of the movie nominees so really can't judge. I will admit tho, this year there are more then one that I'd like to see. Usually MOST are not that appealing to me. Of the ones nominated, I wanna see:

12 Years a Slave"
"The Wolf of Wall Street"
"American Hustle"
"Dallas Buyers Club"

Gravity maybe but I think that one probably should be seen in the theater. Plus I THINK the ending was given away to me earlier, and that ruined it for me. rolleyes

TimeWarner is giving me my choice for a "Free movie" because there was an outage during the SuperBowl(which is funny cause I never watch the superbowl lol). Dallas Buyer's Club is one of the couple I'm considering.

I understand it's based on a true story of a man who has aids and is told he only has a month to live. McConohay, I hear, lost a scary amount of weight for the role and I hear does a great acting job.

McConohay is like Bale when it comes to changing his body for a role. I never seen a movie that McConohay was in, but from the trailer's I seen he does look like his acting is really good

Looking it up, she had a horse riding accident back 2006. She suffered a punctured lung, broken ribs, and nerve damage

Dallas Buyers Club is a very good movie. I'm still rooting for Wolf on Wall Street though, haven't been that entertained while watching a movie in quite a while. Probably since the Departed.

SC, where the heck you been? confused

Yes, I notice her face too and you know what? I see more and more female celebs looking so plastic. Melanie Griffith was on Hawaii Five O Friday and had the same plastic look as do quite a few others. I think they get carried away. They'll ALL look like Joan Rivers at a certain point. lol It's as though their face would crack if they smile.

I noticed that too. A lot of actresses (and Bruce Jenner) really get addicted to it.
