These are the most helpful in my life but my favourite phrases are the one I have below the post, Friendship and the Tom Hagen`s.

I think all the phrases are right but I disagree a little about the one which Vito says "Every man has but one destiny"
I think the human being is strong enough to change his destiny or fate whatever it is.

This is the sentence that i have realized in my life and have acted upon so many times. I think it's a worthwhile sentence. Salute to Don Vito Corleone

Today at school, a really fat rhino-sized girl attacked another girl because this other girl apparently cracked her egg baby. The egg baby is a project...take care of it for one week without breaking it. Anyway, she went into a fit of rage...a large, blubberfied ball of madness.

Later on, I went to the Dean of Students where the two girls were. I said, "I've come to find a peaceful solution to these problems." in the Godfather's voice tone. Classic.

this has changed my life in dealing with people and helps me not to punch them out

I follow that philosophy unless I am able to take a baseball bat and sneak up behind someone.

I was recently involved in a situation at work where someone decided to cut me out of something for his own personal benefit, but it would hurt the company. The boss approached me to try to justify that I was removed from the project.

The boss came to me and said, "How do you feel about this?" I said, "It makes no difference to me whether I am involved or not. But it is strictly business, not personal. How I feel doesn't matter."

Then the boss said, "But you must be upset." I said, "No it is strictly business. You need to understand that it doesn't matter to me as long as his business doesn't conflict with our goals. What is it you want me to do?"

Boss said, "You know, you are back in the loop now. You are right."

So, I ended up winning the debate by primarily paraphrasing The Godfather in a roughly monotone voice.
