There is a well funded scholarship program. Applicants attend Rikers Community College or the State University of Sing Sing (SUSS). Prominent students may be admitted to the RICO program where they will receive free room & board for an extended period of study.

At this point is there anybody worth recuriting.

They still have a lot of members/associates from the 70s/80s around...I think people underestimate LCN too much these days. Genovese still have 250-300 made guys

They are just basing their opinion on what the media says and i dont see how anyone could actually know for sure besides the FBI which does report to the media but still kind of lame. Sitting behind a computer wont verify much.

Honestly, read the books Donnie Brasco and Making Jack Falcone. That might sound stupid because both are about how FBI agents got in with wise guys, but that's the closest, most honest look we have into how one passes from lay person to (nearly) made person.

But I hope you don't plan on walking into some Elizabeth, NJ pork store and asking the first guy you see in a Fila tracksuit for an application.
