I watched a video on Tommy Lucchese and his part in the mob in the early 1900's. I realize I'm just a writer in this field, but it seems to me he was on the same level as Carl Gambino.
They were both small men and didn't look like gangsters, yet they were ruthless when they had to be. Tommy seemed to command a lot of respect from his people, and kept in the shadows so as not to illicit too much attention from law enforcement and the media.
Does anyone have any thoughts on it? I have a link to the video on Tommy, if you've never seen it. Just ask me. I'm a newbie on here and don't want to step on toes here.
I look forward to anyone's thoughts on the subject.
