"PART 1:

In a night of long ago,

three knights left Spain,

they traveled through "Abbruzzo" to Sicily,

and finally they stopped over Calabria and stayed there.

For twentyone years they worked behind the scenes (literally "underground"),

to make/make up/build the social codes/rules,

honour rules, blood rules and war rules,

major/main rules, minor/less important rules and criminal rules.

PART 2:

Those rules of blood and of conspiracy of silence

had been handed down from father to son.

Those were the rules of the society (in the meaning of the criminal enterprise/organization),

and left their mark in history/went down in history.

Ndrangheta (the criminal enterprise of Calabria), Camorra (the criminal enterprise of Campania/Naples) and Mafia (the mafia of Sicily),

are organized societies.

Ndrangheta, camorra e mafia,

Sicily and Calabria are honorable/respectable land.

PART 3:

A morning, while i was in the high sea/in offshore waters,

i saw a little sailboat that was sailing,

it had five sails and there were seven mates aboard,

one of them asked me:

"guy/dude tell me: what are you looking for?"

"honour and blood", i replied.

PART 4:

On that boat [si bua inchianati] (that i have no clue what means),

we found honour and blood on our way,

and they brought me in the high sea,

to a little island named "Favignana".

People! You who're all listening to me (or watching me, i don't know the meaning),

This is both a close and a far land (figurative).

PART 5:

Ndrangheta, camorra and mafia,

rules of honor and of conspiracy of silence.

Ndrangheta, camorra and mafia,

no mercy for the ones who're at fault (in the meaning of doing a a grieve wrong to the criminal organization).

PART 6:

(on that island) There was a castle with three rooms (referred each to one of the criminal organizations mentioned above),

in the first room there was a smell of infamity (figurative) (i guess it refers to Camorra, which is accused to be full of traitors),

we didn't even find three drops of blood in the second room (figurative) (i guess it's referred to the sicilian mafia, which is accused to be too soft and thus not to let enough blood flow),

PART 7:

while in the third room (which i guess is referred to Ndrangheta), we found a well organized and united society/organization.
