From the article Montague posted earlier:

Quote:
The bad blood worsened in the weeks following the summit. Dupuy confronted Wooley a second time at the Solid Gold strip club in Montreal.

As I've already noted on the Real Deal forum, the Solid Gold strip club is where Moreno Gallo was said to be a manager before being deported to Italy.

The strip club stands on the the former site of the Riviera movie theatre, which was owned by Palmina Puliafito, Vic Cotroni's sister. Pietro Sciara was killed outside this theatre on February 14, 1976.

The Bourbon used to be in the 1980's a hangout for Claude Faber and Real Simard, both right-arms for Frank Cotroni.

Montreal street gangs are becoming, or have become extremely organized. And if history has taught us anything Cosa Nostra has committed plenty of senseless violence for no reason.

Okla: Lie to no one. If there 's somebody close to you, you'll ruin it with a lie. If they're a stranger, who the fuck are they you gotta lie to them?

I agree. It might feel a bit strange, but there are a lot of 'street gang' members who are starting to behave like businessmen. Not like gangbangers, they don't even look the part anymore.

Most of the major street gangs have a hierarchy of people that have the drug connections, money, seniority and also policy and rule making roles. These guys are the ones organising things and are the ones with businesses and the know how on how to launder their money. Joseph Ducarme, Chenier Dupois, Greg Wooley have reached that level being organised criminals and have in turn brought their gangs up to that level as well. The only difference being that they have the advantage of having many young brazen gang bangers that will do what ever they say because they still have to build their own reputation and standing within the gang.

Indeed, you can also see this with the top guys from the Gangster Disciples, Black Mafia, Black Guerilla Family, La Eme, Aryan Brotherhood, Netas, Trinitarios,...even the more organized Asian gangs. The guys at the top of these gangs don't really look like stereotypical gangbangers at all.
But still, gangs in Montreal are really one of a kind. If you take a look at the Hells Angels in Montreal ( and Quebec in general) you can see that they are a bit different from biker gangs you tend to see in Europe or Australia. In Montreal they look more like mobsters than stereotypical bikers.
