Hair gel.

Also, try to type English here, it is more appreciated by most members here than your language.

I too, was once cursed with straight hair- now it's so thin on top that I just shave my whole head bald. But back in the day, I regularly found that the only way to get my hair to do anything other than hang loose was to comb it straight back and plaster it in place. In the 40's and 50's Michael would have used brill cream or pomade(what is usually referred to as "hair grease"). These products can still be found in any drugstore, but I found that the best product is 100% aloe vera gel- it's usually found in the area that they have skin lotion, it's very easy on the hair, and it dries just like other gels like Dep, without getting so "crispy".

The "wet look" smile was very popular in the late '50's. As Sammy said, the most popular hair grease (or at least the one that was most widely advertised) was Brylcreem (as in "Brylcreem..a little dab'll do ya..."). But the chi-chi item was Alberto VO5, which I'll bet Michael Corleone would have used. Urban teenagers into R&R used "Dixie Peach," which was like Vaseline with scent.

Except for Senator Geary who didn't like Michael's shiny

silk suits and greasy hair. Although come to think of it

didn't Geary also have the "wet look?"

Vito had it too, already in the '20's.

He didn't like "oily" hair wink ; I don't know how he might have felt about "greasy" hair. wink wink
I always thought Geary had a horny look. If you go slowly over the nightclub scene when he says, "Ah'll trah one a-those red-headed Yolandas," he gives out with what must have been the most lascivious look of the decade. Not even Bill Clinton could have matched him.

HEY! Go easy on poor Bill! FFC loved that actor to play contemptuous characters. He plays the General in Apocalypse Now who is giving Martin Sheen his orders to kill Kurtz. When he is eating beef imported from the States he makes this really contemptuous look at the local shrimp and offers some to Sheen, commenting that he wouldn't eat it. As an aside, most of the imported shrimp we get in the US today is from Vietnam.

But I digress. It was oily hair. As I recall Vaseline put out some kind of hair oil in the 50's ...it was clear, and very oily. Maybe Michael used that.
