Anyone catch the Valentine's Day Massacre documentary on Nat Geo? I caught like the last 15 minutes of it and it looked amazing! It's a new documentary and really had some incredible visuals. They go over different theories about what exactly happened and who was involved, and there's some visually awesome reenactments. It originally aired 2/14 so there's nothing on YouTube yet. I hope it eventually gets to YouTube because it really looked awesome and I want to catch the whole thing. Here's the show page on Nat Geo's website if you're interested: http://natgeotv.com/uk/valentines-day-massacre/about

Man I personally just cannot get enough of the St. Valentine's day massacre. If this thing gets put up on YouTube I'd definitely like to check it out. So what's your preferred theory about how it went down? I am partial to the "American Boys" thing - it's the most plausible IMO.

That's the one I believe. Nice work. There's also a torrent of it floating around if you happen be into that sort of thing. The special effects in the reenactments are really good. Would you guys think less of me if I admitted to visiting the location of the massacre that John Binder describes as a "park next to an old folks home" in the video? I was in Chicago several years ago to take this certification thingy and I figured it would be cool to drop by the site and check it out. I have criminal amounts of free time on my hands sometimes.

I can't stand shows that do the over the top cheesy reinactments. I would rather have the show just show stock photos and have a great narrator.

Wow, great stuff. I was looking all over and couldn't find it. Definitely one of the better documentary's I've seen in a while. I find the Outfit extremely interesting.

I can't stand shows that do the over the top cheesy reinactments. They're usually pretty sucky but this one's decent. The gore effects are great! I actually figured out which actor was supposed to be Fred Goetz before they identified him. BTW, the Fratto guy that is featured prominently in this is the cousin of 21st century Outfit middle manager Rudy Fratto.

I think it would be cool if Nat Geo made a few docs like this one, on some of the more notable Mob hits in New York history. Like the Castellano hit, Galante hit, 3 Captains, etc. I think it would be pretty cool. Nat Geo really does a great job with their docs. I agree the reenactments are usually pretty cheesy, but they did a great job with them on this one.
