Yes it is, with the right scrip and cast this would go even beyond the Sopranos. It wont have the same impact, but in the long run it could be better. Hell.. If The Wire can pass the Sopranos, this certainly will.

AMC has had some good original series. I watched Mad Men and Walking Dead and enjoy them as well.

I heard marty on done the first 2 episodes of Boardwalk Empire .. I might be wrong I was a little drunk when I was told this .. I don't know if marty will wanna do this... like when something is the "best" like goodfellas why try and do it again?.... I want it though , The Sopranos movie is supposed to happen but J Gandolfini don't want to do it ..so it aint gonna happen until he has a change of heart.. I think he just don't wanna mess with something that rocked ...

Pileggi as well as Irwin Winkler are involved so even without Marty, there's people from the film involved so it SHOULD be good. I've heard 2 different rumors about when it would take place, either following Henry's life in witness protection or Henry's younger years going more into depth on the time between getting pinched for selling cigarettes and the scene at Idlewild with him and Tommy stealing the truck
