This has been posted before, but it looks like the old links are inactive -- Richard Pryor on the Mafia:

Funny how he's outlasted a good many of the music acts he's parodied over the years.

That's funny RR. lol

I just love Jimmy Fallon's imitations. Here's Jimmy doing Neil Young, Bob Dylan & Bruce Springsteen. lol

I remember watching spitting image on TV when i was growing up, was always very funny.I'm surprised it hasn't made a comeback in the UK, though they might be a few law suits nowadays.

According to wikipedia, it's because the rights-owners have no interest in reviving it. Shame really because imagine how much mileage they could've gotten out of the last ten years in Dubya, Blair, Gordon, Berlusconi, Cameron/Clegg, Obama, Ahmadinejad, Sarkozy, all that.

God knows that even before he came to power, they nailed Blair perfectly.

I wouldn't finger Prince, either. Not even for five dollars and a large pizza.

I enjoyed Life's Too Short. If you like Gervais work Ronnie you should really check out An Idiot Abroad, this was a massive success in England..

Even funnier when you consider Gervais (along with Merchant) wrote them himself. Ha ha.

Life's Too Short wasn't that well received in the UK. I'm interested to see how it does across the pond.

RR, I only watched the Johnny Depp when one I first not the Neeson clip. LOL That's a comedy sketch? About "full-blown aids." Ha ha ha! Wow!

You know I never saw any movies with Liam Neeson that I can recall, but really liked "Taken" & "Unknown". Now, I see "The Grey" being advertised and that too looks good. smile

Its funny with Ricky Gervais. I mean, I think he's great, but I was reading something recently about how he's not very well regarded amongst fellow stand up comics. Something about not having 'put in the work', so to speak. Rather than spending half his life honing his craft in dingy comedy clubs, he basically went off the back of his comedic writing successes (The Office, Extras) into stand up. Apparently some comics resent his fast rise.
