Ragucci happened to park in front of demeo's house during the worst time(cuban crisis) and he was probably scared to death up until he was finally tracked down by roy. Nicky guido was killed on the holiday and he protected his relative while he was killed

I cant believe DeMeo got away with whacking Ragucci like that in broad daylight and he even used his own car to give chase.
According to Albert DeMeo, Roy and his crew went to ground for weeks because of it.
Roy didnt dare go near the Gemini incase someone recognised him, he and Dracula hid out in a safehouse in Manhattan.
Roy also had his car scrapped in the days after the murder incase someone recognised it and because of the bullet holes Dracula had accidentally shot in the floor!

Joey + Anthony did off to California and for a while even Roy didnt know where they were - Albert said that it greatly bothered his father that he didnt know the whereabouts of his 2 best men

I agree Gary. I know it was 1979 but a high speed chase where one guy is shooting out the window the whole time is odd that nobody got caught. i mean they drove from the north side of LI to the southside and ragucci crashed into another car while roy walked up casually and emptied his gun into him

Just to pick up on what JCrusher said, the DeMeo crew did some horrible things and Roy was the worst of the bunch in my opinion.

On the left holding the mike is Mark Reiter who was a big drug guy with the Gotti crew in Queens. Went down with Gene Gotti and is doing life for being a drug kingpin.

The guy playing guitar is Joseph "J.R." Russo.

Russo is also in this photo with Persico. Russo is the one with the cowboy hat on. Thats Persico riding the mechanical bull. The guy on the far left i believe is Nick Virgilio who was a pal of Nicky Scarfo.

He dissappeared in 1983.
Albert DeMeo claims he dropped him off at the airport and never heard from him again.
Either he dissappeared into another state and spent the rest of his life in obscurity or he came back to New York where Joey and Anthony caught up with him.
Richie DiNome (Freddies Brother) was found murdered in his home along with a couple of his buddies - probably the handiwork of Joey and Anthony!
Joey and Anthony were a pair of dangerous bastards thats for sure!

Richie DiNome was no innocent bystander. He got clipped by his own "Instant Karma". All the guys around that crew were a bunch of lowlifes who would kill you just for the fun of it.

I forget where i read it (probably in Murder Machine) but those guys would get depressed if they hadn't killed anyone that week. That pretty much tells you what people were dealing with back then.

Yeah a real crew of scum bags, It always stuck with me from Murder Machine when the twins shot that young girl in the car the one who looked like the model Twiggy, that crew killed many innocent people. Some can consider it okay to a degree for mobsters to kill each other but killing innocent people...

Dracula is still a mystery to me. Like you said albert claims he dropped him off and that was it seems legit to me. I dont think there was a real need to kill dracula after roy died especially since he took off. also the other demeo members drifted pff onto the Lucchese family

Joey and Anthony murdered a young girl named Cherie Golden,19 years old. Then they pulled her pants down. Here's an article about her murder:

One of the most blatant examples of the way women are treated by mobsters is the story of 19-year-old Cherie Golden, a New York woman who made the mistake of working a little too closely with her car thief boyfriend, John Quinn. They both ended up dead after crossing the bloodthirsty and ruthless DeMeo crew and Nino Gaggi, who objected to Quinn's success in competing with their own stolen car ring. In Gaggi's 1985 murder and racketeering trial, star prosecution witness Dominick Montiglio and seven other witnesses testified about how Quinn was marked for death by the Gaggi faction of the Gambino family after he was summoned before a Long Island grand jury.

Convicted car thief Joseph Bennett testified that he was contacted about a week before July 20, 1977, the day Quinn's body was found in a desolate part of Staten Island. The DeMeo crew wanted Bennett to help them take out his cousin.

The price for setting up Quinn would be $20,000, he testified that he was told, if he could lure Golden as well. When asked by prosecutors why the pair had to die, Bennett explained in a matter-of-fact way that there was reason to suspect Quinn was cooperating with authorities.

"John had gone before a Nassau County grand jury and wasn't in jail," said Bennett. "The rule of thumb is that if you weren't in jail you had talked."

Quinn and Golden were shot dead and while Quinn was found dumped near a landfill, dressed in pajamas with his hands tied behind his back, Golden's half-nude body was found jammed underneath the dashboard of a stolen Lincoln Continental near Coney Island in Brooklyn. She had not been sexually assaulted, but testimony revealed that she had been stripped after death to make police think it had been a sexual homicide and thus not likely to be mob connected.

Montiglio testified that Golden's murder had disturbed Gambino family boss Paul Castellano.

"My uncle [Nino Gaggi] was a little perturbed about the girl getting killed," Montiglio said. "Mr. Castellano asked my uncle why this girl Cherie was killed. My uncle told him she was part of the operation with Quinn and something about him going to the law and he had to be taken care of."

I would argue that the Scarpa Mary Bari senseless murder is as bad if not worse than that poor kid Nicky Guido...at least the "mob cops" were brought to justice for Nicky (credit Kaplan for feeling some guilt about the whole damn thing)...where is the justice for Mary-a really pathetic situation if you ask me...NYPD should dust off this file and bring someone who was in that social club to justice!

He was a homosexual who asked that part of his deal to testify allow him to have his boyfriend with him in prison. The government agreed, and gave him his boyfriend as a cell mate, and I think they were relocated together.
