They're basically the same - the Genovese and Gambino families each have about 200 or so. The Luccheses, Colombos, and Bonannos each have about 100 or so.

The Gambinos probably only have 1 crew based in Jersey at this point and Nicholas Mitarotonda and Andrew Merola were the latest said to be running things there.



Once again, once a guy is indicted and put in prison, he really can't function as the acting boss anymore. Bellomo was the acting/street boss back in the 90's. No info that he is currently. Cirillo has never been identified as consigliere.



Basciano was acting boss. Obviously he's in no position to be boss of any kind now. He was never solidified as official boss. Vinny Badalamenti is acting boss. Nicky Santora was acting underboss before he was indicted. Anthony Rabito was acting consigliere before he was indicted.



Both DiNapoli and Madonna got bail but it's questionable if they're still able to operate on the 3 man ruling panel they had. Taccetta doesn't hold his rank of captain anymore. Ralph Perna is official captain of that crew.



Obviously Allie Persico is no longer in a position to be acting boss. Neither is Andy Russo. And neither is Benjamin Castellazzo being acting underboss.

i have these ranks as what was last reported i.e. we havent heard if the lucchese fam dismantled the ruling panel or put new guys on it, until we do i have that last information there along with whether that person is jailed/indicted until otherwise noted

whats the reason these guys wont pick any official boss,underboss and consigliere. and how come the feds get to know it when a new boss is chosen(domenico cefalu). does news spread so fast?

and what will the future be for the colombos the raid in january took down their administration is it possible for them to kick carmine and his faction out of the family to reorganize the family?

usually when capeci finds our about new mob leadership from his sources there is an indictment not too far in the distant future so i would wait for one on cefalu

the persicos have too many blood relatives to be kicked out of the family there are family members, cousins, etc in the colombos, i honestly dont know what that fam can do im waiting for sonny to take over when hes released and right the ship (pun intended)

Fair enough but it should be remembered that a ruling panel is basically a group of acting bosses. Acting bosses are such because they are on the street and able to direct the day-to-day affairs of the family. Usually, this ability comes to an end once a guy is indicted and certainly when they are imprisoned.



First, Ralph Perna was cited as a captain in the indictment, which holds more weight than an article. Second, the article itself misidentifies Michael Taccetta as the boss of the family.

The stay at the top is often so fleeting now that it usually makes more sense to appoint an acting boss or a ruling panel than an official boss - which tends to imply permanence.

Well he isn't boss of the family's NJ crew either. After him, Marty Taccetta took over. Followed by Nicky Scarfo Jr until 2003, Johnny Capra until 2005, and now Ralph Perna.
