It can be a long scene or just a look on someone's face.

My personal favorite is the end of Part III. The Silent Scream to the very end. Such a fitting and emotional climax to a wonderful trilogy. It truly makes me reflect on everything that has come before.

Honestly, I really don't have a favorite moment even in the first two films (since everyone knows how I feel about GFIII).

I enjoy each movie in it's entirety. I guess the one scene I look forward to the most, since it's just so beautifully produced/directed/acted...is just after Sonny's murder on the causeway when Tom breaks the news to Vito. Even if I'm walking around, doing little chores while the movie is playing...it is the one scene that I try never to miss.

my favorite scene is when allpoina is killed. i like how they make it seem everything is okay then you notice fabrizo acting wierd then when mickey screams it is priceless

The happiest contest in the world would be to try to name my favorite moment in the trilogy--no losers! But, among them:
--Vito and Bonasera at the wedding.
--Vito's face rising and falling when Hagen tells him about Sonny's murder, and when he uncovers Sonny at Bonasera's place.
--Vito's speech at the Don's Convention.
--Michael and Geary back and forth in the boathouse.
--Michael confronting Frankie in Frankie's office.
--Roth's soliloquey in Cuba.
--Michael's kiss of death to Fredo in Cuba, and the hug of death at Mama's wake.
...and about fifty others...

I like the image of Clemenza napping. It gives me the temporary delusion that I'm in shape.

My favorite part is when Mike and the Don are talking and the Don asks Mike if he is happy with his family and tells him how Barzini will come after him...

-The very first scene when Bonasera is explaining his situation to the Godfather.

-The scenes where Michael falls in love with the girl in Sicily, only to have his heart broken

-"Never take sides with anyone against the family again...ever"

-The baptism sequence (I think it would have to be my favorite, not sure though)

-Michael being donned as Kay watches from the next room

-The scenes where Geary's running his mouth to the Corleone's, the brothel scene, and then the change in his tone

-Paolo's death, and Vito's mother trying to bargain with Don Ciccio

-Vito's revenge on Ciccio

-The scenes where Vito starts helping others, like Signora Colombo

-The scene where Kay tells Mike she got an abortion

-The scene where Mike closes the door in her face after she says goodbye to Anthony and Mary

-The scene where Michael tells his family he enlisted in the marines

-The scene with Joey Zasa, Vincent, and Michael in his office

-"I say we take Zasa out"

-The scenes which Michael tells his son, Anthony, about his law school plans, and then his argument with Kay about it

-"I love you cuz", it's so pathetic that it's a classic

-The recollection scene

-The scene where Michael confesses his sins to the cardinal

-The meeting of the families, and the helicopter intervention

-When Joe Zasa got shot, "hey Joey, up your ass!"

Certainly not the best moments in the trilogy, but here are my favorites from each movie:

I-Luca's eyes bulging out of his head while he's garrotted. There isn't any uglier face you will ever see than that one.

II-Sonny's kids laughing because "Daddy's fighting again!" in the flashback scene. I love kids and that scene is exactly what a kid would say in real life.

III-Neri yelling, "Mikey, over here!" during the hotel assassination. I laugh when I hear that because just think about what would happen to any other human being on Earth other than Neri who would dare call the Don "Mikey".

My favorite part has always been the scene where Al Neri chases Klingman out of the casino and tells the dancers to get back to work.

One of my fav scenes is in Pt II The abortion scene. Mikes eyes are sooo intense looking. Also the silent scream sends chills down my spine.

I love the abortion scene too. Mike physically shrinks in that scene. It's subtle, but his eyes are buldging out of his head and he's shrinking. The first time I saw Part II I remember thinking... "something bad is about to happen." Then BAM! Mike pushes down the chair, lunges across the room and slaps Kay.

Everybody knows my hatred of GF3...

It has to be the wedding,
The baptism
The end of part 1
And senza mama is absolutely hilarious.

The entire sequence when Paulie is killed, from Clemenza's house to Paulie's death in sight of the Statue of Liberty.

The great camera work in the scene when Michael makes his case to be the one to kill the Turk and McCluskey. How the camera pans in on him sitting in the chair. And it is a great scene as well, it sets up the entire story to come.

The flashback scenes are all good.

My favorite would be Vito's speech at the Don's Convention..There's a specific line i was trying to remember..He was warning them from hurting micheal..it was something about a storm striking micheal..
i wish if someone could remind us with the line..

I tend to agree with appleonya. There are so many great scenes, that they weave a tapestry. It is the entire movies (1 & 2). I'm not real crazy about 3. I guess if I had to pick one, I guess it would be where Michael revenges his father's shooting by murdering Solozzo & McClusky. The tension building, restaurant noises, street cars going by, Michael's blood pounding, the actual killings followed by that music. Fantastic.

The part in part three when Connie gives the old guy the poisned Cannolis

The scene in GFII where Fredo tells Michael he was "stepped over." I think that is my absolute favorite scene in the whole trilogy.

"My youngest son was forced to leave this country because of this Sollozzo business. All right -- and I have to make arrangements to bring him back here safely -- cleared of all these false charges. But I'm a superstitious man -- and if some unlucky accident should befall him -- if he should get shot in the head by a police officer -- or if he should hang himself in his jail cell -- or if he's struck by a bolt of lightning -- then I'm going to blame some of the people in this room. And that, I do not
forgive.

But, that aside, let me say that I swear -- on the souls of my grandchildren -- that I will not be the one to break the peace that we have made here today...."

I like the scene where Don Corleone talks to Johnny and he makes fun of him, "You can act like a man!"

Of course I like when Frankie Pentangeli "forgets" about the family on the witness stand.

And the scene where Micheal confesses to the Cardinal as well as the final scene where he dies alone and weathered.

My favorite part of the trilogy is the flashback scenes at the end of Godfather 3........those minutes between "the scream" and the end are just great

Man I so agree. The first time I saw the end of Part III I wept like a baby the rest of the night.

my favourite moment is Michael to Pentangeli
"IN MY HOME !! IN MY BEDROOM WHERE MY WIFE SLEEPS!! where my children come to play with their toys!"

I've always liked that bit not sure why though

One of favs is when they are patting down Pentangeli's brother before entering the court room. Frankie looks at him, then there is a one second shot where they show Micheal turn his head and look at Frankie. No words are necessary.

Short scene, but great scene.

anyway, my fav scenes are the Sicilian ones. I love the way Michael's return to his roots is portrayed. The way Sicily's melting beauty is portrayed in that reddish/golden light. Keep your breath and when the magic Rota's music stops, you can smell the orange blossom and hear the crickets cry. The way an ancient, savage yet pure world melts with a new one when Micheal and Apollonia share looks. The return to one's mother's womb to taste a too short moment of perfect happiness. Then the car explosion. Revenge, blood, death, revenge. Michael's destiny is traced.

So powerful.
