Hi everyone. I'm new here and love the Godfather trilogy and the book. I love talking about the back stories too. Just for starters, doesanybody know the story about Luca?

Welcome, Vitelli!

Yes, many of us are very familiar with the book and the many interesting backstories (like Luca's horrible past) and the not-so-interesting backstories (like Lucy's gaping vagina).

I look forward to hearing your perspectives on the Godfather.

Welcome! Luca's back story has been told many times in other threads. You would be well served by reading the late and great Plawrence's threads on this issue and others, as well as
Turnbull's. There are other excellent posters, but those two are the most compelling IMHO, and their discussions on Luca's past and many many other issues that show up often on these boards over and over again. If you peruse those two individual's contributions, you will be up to sped with the veterans in no time.

While you are pondering this, here's what has plagued us the most over the years: In GF II, someone opened the drapes in Michael's bedroom. Who?

"Io sono stanco, sono imbigliato, and I wan't everyone here to know, there ain't gonna be no trouble from me..Don Corleone..Cicc' a port!"

"I stood in the courtroom like a fool."

Hey dontomasso, you know, I have wondered about the curtains too. Also, who were the guys that shot through the window? When they found them dead, someone said, I think "they look like ther're outta New York" who were they? I just assumed they were random men??? "Rocco, Alive!"
