Day off today, so thought I would listen to FFC's spoken thoughts on Godfather Part III.

During the first half hour (party scene) one thing struck me as painfully amusing!

Lucy Mancini must walk through or into shot, or just happens to be there anyway, at least 10 times!

Nearly every cut has her ogling at her darling boy, or "just passing by"

Give her credit where it's due, she most the most of the available screen time!

Funny you should mention that, the first day I hurt my back, I decided to listen to FFC's spoken thoughts on Part 1. In the wedding scene, Fredo wanders by at least 10 times also. Amazing what you notice when directers are yacking.

she's the girl Sonny was banging at Connie's wedding, right? I knew Vincent was Sonny's bastard son, but I did not know for sure that his mother was the bridesmaid. I did not spot her in GF III either! I have only seen GF III once and am in the process of watching the films with the directors commentary on.

yeah she is that girl.

She certainly is/was. No doubt one of the reasons they gave her so many walk ons was to try and jog the memory of people who were not sure, so many years after the quickie up against a door!

Well, there is the shot of her swooning as Sonny leaves her apartment to help actually see her face...

I never noticed all her "drive-by's" in GF3, though, just the scene where Vincent has his "introduction."

I think Sonny going out with Lucy Mancini and being married to Sandra is wrong because Sandra is loyal to Sonny yet Sonny cheats on her he doesn't deserve her

Plawrence - Who the hell is Dr Segel?

Dr Segal is the guy she meets in the book and with whom she eventually settles down. He encourages her to have a rather... erm... unique medical procedure performed...

He also is responsible for Johnny Fontane having a wart removed off his vocal cord, which was affecting his voice. Well... that combined with wine, women and song.

Dr. Segel is a great doctor who performed abortions in New York and was caught. The Corleone family managed to save Dr. Segel from prison time,but he could never resume his practice in New York, as then the Corleone family hired him to be the hotels doctor where he can do abortions for the cocktail waitresses.
