Again its dominated by singers, that's what x factor is for and that's why i end not to watch it.. Susan Boyle is so over-rated..

Try not to watch it. The whole thing irritates me. The best thing in it are Ant and Dec smile

She's apparently stressing out over all the attention. The press is hounding her.

I'll copy here what I posted on Facebook:

I think Susan's appeal is that we all know someone like her... maybe someone who is not as socially adept, or someone who is not as quick-witted as others BUT someone who is tremendously talented. It's been an absolute joy for me to watch her perform (even if it's just seeing her on snippets of the news here or on YouTube).

I've heard that the press is hounding her and that the related pressure is getting to her. Just let her sing!! She's got a powerful set of pipes and it's wonderful to hear her cut loose and raise her voice to a big level. It's quite evident that she gets a great deal of joy from that.

JUST LET HER SING!!

Susan Boyle's appeal is that she possesses an incredibly beautiful singing voice. What contributed to her fame is the undeniable fact that her appearance gave little indication of what was about to come out of her mouth. Sort of like Barbra Streisand at age 18 except it's happening to Ms. Boyle at 30 years older.

Anyway, I just heard that she came in second to the dance troupe. Doesn't matter, she will go on to '2nd Place' fame & fortune in the same way Clay Aiken did (by the way what ever happened to that Ruben fellow).

Her final appearance is already on YouTube. I watched the performance, and it was good, but not as good as her first performance (she sang the same song). I didn't see who won, so I can't really say if Susan deserved to win or not.

I heard Susan's final performance & judges afterthoughts on the radio.

Beautiful...but it didn't have the power of that first time; maybe in part because the element of surprise was gone and now she knew what was expected of her. She was nervous. The judges comments were incredibly wonderful, mentioning the recent pressure and tough time w/ the press and how she stuck with it to the end and will have far to go, no matter what the outcome of the evening (this was before the final vote, of course).

As for the dance troupe, Simon was reported to have said that their performance was the ONLY '10' of the evening...so I suppose that they did deserve to win.

However, they can't get a recording contract or sell cd's...

Susan Boyle fails to win Britain's Got Talent!
By James Laine, 30/05/2009

SUSAN Boyle has been beaten in the final of Britain's Got Talent by brilliant dance act Diversity. The Scottish singer - whose performances in earlier rounds of the show clocked up millions of views on YouTube - wowed TV viewers with a heart-rending performance of I Dreamed A Dream.

But it was not enough to beat Diversity, who won on the night with a fantastic dance display.

Those dancers must have been something else to beat Susan. She has a beautiful voice and she's a very likeable person. She'll be fine.

Talent star Boyle taken to clinic

I can't imagine the pressure she's going through.

Its not the show that drove her there, it's media as usual..

Simon Cowell will make sure she gets the best help.

He sees her only as a walking pound sign anyways!

I feel sorry for her. She is not bothered by the fame and money, she just likes to sing.

I believe that Mr. Cowell uses earning potential as his sole judging criteria.

Oh i agree Babe. He is funny to watch. I don't particularly care for his brand of show but they are always on in my house and when i see him ripping people to bits it makes me laugh.

It also makes me dislike him,but he does make me chortle!

He is never gratuitously cruel. He is brutally honest, which some might consider cruel, but he's never mean simply to be mean. When he likes a performance, he is equally generous with the compliments. He is also never afraid to admit he was wrong about someone or something and apologize for it, which I do admire.
