I was thinking the other day that if a movie were to be made with flashbacsk to a young Sonny or Vito rise as a don, the guy from No Country for Old Men (Javier Bardem) would make a great Luca Brasi. What do you guys think as far as casting

Not a bad choice, IMO. If they went into Luca's story from the book about how he killed his baby, Bardem would be a great choice - we all know he can play a psychopath.

Interesting choice. But I would think of Luca Brassi asa really big and imposing guy. We need someone with a bodybuilder's or offensive lineman's physique.
