"Witness to the Mob" was dreadful compared with "Gotti." The only redeeming feature was Tom Sizemore as Gotti. Sizemore's always good, and he was very convincing as Gotti in a relatively small role.

Sizemore's terribly underrated. Seems a natural choice as a charismatic Mafia hood; I'm surprised he hasn't been more typecast.

His best gangster role, IMO, was in Carl Franklin's "Devil in a Blue Dress," an excellent whodoneit starring Denzel Washington.

I watched that as part of a Film Noir unit at university earlier this year (it came under "neo-noir"). Excellent film.

As for Witness to the Mob, it's one of those I'll always remember watching, but about the film itself, I can't remember anything, save for maybe a scene in which a bomb destroys a car, Casino-style.
