Turnbull, when you say chronological order, do you mean the flashback scenes of Vito before the Bonsera scene at the beginning and similar such changes? [/b]Yes. That is what the Saga is. It was released on VHS years ago, and included all three movies and the deleted scenes in chronological order. So, you had The flashback sequences, GFI, The 1958-1960 portions of GFII, and then GFIII. It was a limited quanity though, and it's extremely rare now. A DVD set would be fantastic.

So, you had The flashback sequences, GFI, The 1958-1960 portions of GFII, and then GFIII. Except that the flashback of young Vito returning to Sicily to kill Ciccio and his men features towards the end of the 1958-60 part of the story. I think the Saga version is better if you're going to have a GF marathon and watch the whole thing from start to finish. But quite often I just want to watch GFI, which means fast forwarding to the right bit and then changing tapes part way through.

Until the current business structure of Hollywood changes, don't hold your breath. They won't re-do the Saga in DVD format since not enough people would buy it (aside from us wackos, but we're not enough people).
Personally, I think what makes GF2 so compelling is the flashbacks.
It shouldn't be heard to provide the Saga DVD, yet with the option of chronological, or "as showed in the movies"...

Couldnt some enterprising individual burn some dvd's to make it in chronological order with all the deleted scenes, and then "share" the dvd's so as not to violate copyright laws?

Thanks LLC, but wasn't GF2 edited that way puposely to contrast vito and michael in similar situations? Do you prefer the saga version to the normal version? [/b]I actually prefer the normal/mixed theatrical cut of GFII. It's what made it such a contrast from the series. But the Saga is a nice little keepsake to have if you're a fan.
