When Sonny is beating up Carlo in GF1 after he found out Carlo was beating up Connie- there was a badly missed fake punch that was quite obvious- i'm wondering why that wasn't edited- it was quite amusing. Anyone catch that?

The street, with its brownstones and brick homes, could be in any residential neighborhood in Manhattan or Brooklyn. I believe the filming location used for that scene was 118th Street and Pleasant Avenue, just east of 1st Avenue. Its sometimes known as V. Marcantonio Avenue (in East Harlem).

Olivant, I looked at that scene tonite. That white building with the slit windows, visible behind the Rheingold truck, is an anomaly for that scene--its design is definitely later than the 1946-47 time frame for the scene. But I can't tell where it's situated. The part of the building that's visible isn't at all an unusual design. The street, with its brownstones and brick homes, could be in any residential neighborhood in Manhattan or Brooklyn. I think I read somewhere that the truck was put there to block it from the scene for the reason you mentioned. What is that called? anachronically incorrect.
