Following on from the 2007 thread,which movies are you looking forward to this year or films your not.

I don't really go to the Pictures that often maybe 2/3 times a year.But theres a few films i wouldn't mind seeing in 2008.

That said, I am assuming we won't see Bredan Fraser doing anything serious* action-wise.

*=Back on THE MUMMY RETURNS, his knees were so abused and became basketballs, thats why he didn't do action for many years. Either he's gotten well physically, or stunt guys/long-shots will make him be "action."

For me, I AM LEGEND was thoroughly enjoyable. Will Smith seems to have embraced the fact that he's most believable as an action film star, as opposed to a serious actor. Still not as good as the book, but the movie rarely is.

RAMBO 4 is getting so little fanfare, it must be even worse than I thought.

I saw it last week,i didnt have no idea what it was about before i went but i really enjoyed it and will definetly buy it when it's on DVD

I meant the text serves the script, not the image.

Most adaptations invest little medium specificity into the original. In short, the result isn't very "cinematic".

on that note, please watch "across the universe" (yes, it is 2007 movie, not 2008) for "cinematic" cinema. I am going to shamelessly advertise it till more people watch it. Till now, it is just TIS, DA and myself here I guess.

I went to watch it and i thought it was a decent film, i like the story about survival etc , the only down side was that it wasn't on long enough.

an hour and a half is enough for me after that i just start to get bored weather i like the film or not

I can only watch 3/4 hour films in the comfort of my own home, i also get bored in pictures if the film is longer than 2 hours, i thought the film ended too early..

I didnt like i am legend, it was ok for 5 minutes, until the bad guys showed up.

Thats the whole point of the film.

I'm also waiting for sweeney Toad and national treasure 2.
