a1, you seem very liberal in giving stars. Not that it is wrong, just interesting to see that there are very few movies you don't like this year.

I generally go to the movies to enjoy or be inspired since I make films and shorts myself. My issue is that there are too few 3 and a half star or 4 star movies to go see-There may be a lot of 3 stars(Good Movies) but I feel taken and would have rather have rented them. I only hope the rest of the year the products get better(They usually do for Oscar Consideration)

Hope is on its way. And it wears many faces: Harmony Korine, Béla Tarr, Wes Anderson, Paul Thomas Anderson, Roy Andersson.

It's been rather dry, but Zodiac remains one of the most fascinating products of the century.

The Darjeeling Limited in two days, no?

(hey there, Mr. Fragmented sentences)

But yeah, new Wes Anderson. It'll probably be the best movie any of you will ever see.

"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

And my opinions were directed at yours.

Then again, are you a fan of Top Gun?

Are you sure you saw the movie?

I mean, Cruise spends more "close" time with Kilmer than his heterosexual interest.

Do I have to mention the beefcake/volleyball sequence?

P.S. - What's with the CAPS?

Yes I have seen the movie multiple times and I've always enjoyed it. It might be geared more towards females with the "close" time you mentioned as well as the volleyball sequence. Does that mean heterosexual males can't enjoy it as well?

BTW, the CAPS is when I refer to a movie. For example, TOP GUN. You could also use italics like so, Top Gun

RF (ronnie's friend), I gave you the link so you could get a better idea of what my taste in movies are because it looks like you and I are on opposite sides of the sceptrum and I thought we should clear the air early on. BTW, who's wanting to fight? I simply was going out the door and was giving you something to look over until we could further this conversation \:\)

Saw Mr. Brooks-Good recommendation! Gave it 3 and a half-I hope they make the other 2 parts to it(As does Costner) but the bad news is that it grossed very little. People will enjoy it on DVD though.

It's a trilogy? If so, I'm all for it. It's probably my fourth favorite movie of the year so far behind:

1) GRINDHOUSE
2) 300
3) TRANSFORMERS
4) MR. BROOKS

Glad you enjoyed it as well and yes, unfortunately, it didn't make a lot of noise at the box office. I'm telling people who come into Blockbuster (were I'll be working for the next couple of weeks) to definitely check out MR. BROOKS because it was amazing.

That's cool that your going to recommend Mr. Brooks. I find from hanging out at videostores over the years that people need recommendations. I've seen people walk around the places like zombies(Reminds me of the guy in Clerks who picks up a copy of Navy Seals and looks excited)Steer them to the good stuff-Good Job Man!

Thanks, I try. If it's a movie that I really love, like a MR. BROOKS then I'll push for it hard. I always tell customers however they might not like it because I'm sure my taste in movies differs from theirs. But I again reassure them that I loved it. Anymore news about the trilogy?

No-Nothing I've heard. The Internet Movie Database has Costner's films listed until 2009 and that's not even on there. I hope he continues them.

I wouldn't say 300 was "very gay." Its bizarre that the Spartans are putting down the Athenians for boy-man love, like Iran government putting down the American government for intolerance. Fucking bizarre.

Anyway, haven't seen MR. BROOKS, but it doesn't look interesting enough beyond generic mediocrity, though I could be wrong.

TF just simply sucked. Period.
