hi i'm a big fan of the trilogy (well not gf3 so much), but have never read the books.
i've heard that luca brassi features a lot more in the original novel. how did he come to work for the family and what did he do to al capone?
thanks....i'll read the books when i get time i promise!

thanks....i'll read the books when i get time i promise! Definitely read the book where you will find out what he did. It is so grisly, I think you should find it on your own and enjoy the lurid details. Of course if Turnbull or one of the other GF gurus wishes, he or she can post it. This information is also available on other threads on these boards.

In the movie though, he is a strange guy and seems more nervous before meeting the Don. In the book, Luca Brasi, is a man not even the Don himself can call off if something happens. Luca Brasi as a bodyguard, now we're talking..
