I would like to hear everybodys opinion on this:
What features of Al Pacino make him most suitable for the role of Michael Corleone?
The answers you give may well have been on FFC's list when he was casting him and others!
"Can't you give me a straight answer anymore?"

For the role of Michael Corleone, a character who literally evolves from one extreme of human behavior to another, it's what was necessary in whatever actor was cast in the part. Amazing to think that Al was close to being fired until that Sollozzo killing scene was shot. I guess they had filmed all the minor stuff first which hadn't given Pacino the chance sink his teeth into the part! Apple
