FILMSMy films are not on YouTube, because I can't compromise image and sound quality - maybe when I improve my knowledge on compressing, I'll be able to. For now, then, only two of my short films are available to download, and, since my films have generally become longer and longer, they happen to be the first two I made. Hymn (2006) Still (2006) Textures (2006)

PAINTINGMy paintings are more vast than my films and compositions, so below is just selected material. The triptych below should be horizontal, but the panels are too big, so here they are vertically: ^^ "Death triptych". 2005/6. Pastel. ^^ "The loneliness of the artist - self-portrait". 2005. Oils on canvas. I hadn't painted anything for well over a year until three weeks ago. Here's what I painted: ^^ Untitled (I've stopped giving names to images). 2007. Acrylic on canvas.

^^ "The loneliness of the artist - self-portrait". 2005. Oils on canvas. Nice work! ...but I think one unmentionable photo of yours would've worked, too...
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

Still has no sound? Oh dear. Don't know what that's about. Good spot on Bacon, TB; he's been a heavy influence on my art in general. Good shout on Apocalypse Now, too, svsg - that too was "intended"; the middle pic from that triptych is inspired by Un chien andalou, the opening of which you can see here.

BTW capo, you didn't answer my question on software. Hymn was shot, I believe, on an XM1 Canon, in my bedroom and bathroom, over the course of three hours. Still was shot on an S-VHS cam, not DV. Because S-VHS tapes are bigger, the in-camera hum is more intrusive, more noticeable. For almost century, now, the industry has sought to make films which eradicate the camera - in its sound, in its gaze. If my films have already acknowledged their own visual practices, they haven't yet acknowledged sound. Instead of trying to eradicate the crude in-camera sound, my next film will emphasise it. "This film is made without mics." Both films were edited on a self-sufficient editing machine called Casablanca Prestige, an easy-to-use, difficult-to-master and cripplingly-limited editing tool. Sound-related: is my accent understandable, JG? And also why did you choose BW for the first video Yeah, sort of. I wanted Hymn to be anonymous. I can't create sets, don't have funding for lights, and can't go out and buy clothes, so black-and-white anonymises everything. Plus, I don't quite like how fleshy tones look on DV. Not sure why they're not working on WMP. What's wrong with flowers and butterflies? You should paint a happy family too. Haha, you know what, in between sayings like, "Yeah, but what does it mean?", my Dad asks the same thing. My Mam calls them "perverted".

Sound-related: is my accent understandable, JG? Well, I can hear them both -- understanding them (accent or not) is another story...

So, I've checked out your painting and music previously, and I believe I told you I loved it all... But now I'm excited to finally catch some of your cinematic accomplishments.
Downloading the flicks now. Can't wait to watch them.
"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."
